Constellations has a long history of working with Nottingham Trent University’s Fashion, Marketing, Management and Communication (FMMC) department. From office moves to bespoke teaching studios designed to reflect real-life industry environments, Constellations has built an excellent relationship with the department.
Post-pandemic, the FMMC department has changed how it works. Their office, located in a striking 1960s modernist building, was no longer fit for purpose and needed to reflect their changing work habits.
Constellations has reconfigured the staff office to create a more informal and calming environment. By repurposing pre-existing furniture and installing new flexible hot desks, collaborative areas and meeting booths complete with soundproofing, Constellations has created a co-working space, reflective of the creative industries.
“My departmental team office has been redesigned by Constellations to allow us to work more creatively, flexibly and collaboratively. The space has been zoned for different activities and barriers removed to open up the space to create a more communal feel. We have hot-desking spaces, quiet zones and large tables with movable white boards for creative team activities. The space has encouraged the team to spend more time on campus, it’s a great hub where people can work alongside each other, share ideas and feel part of something bigger.”
