Constellations refurbish student accommodation common rooms

Refurbished student accommodation at Peverell, NTU Clifton Campus

University Partnerships Programme Ltd (UPP) – the UK’s leading on-campus student accommodation provider – commissioned Constellations to refurbish four common room spaces in Nottingham.

In just six weeks, the work was completed on budget and included re-decoration, new flooring, wall graphics, lighting, new media units and screens, bespoke banquette, soft seating and furniture.

The Constellations design, developed in partnership between UPP and student feedback, provided a mixture of furniture options for relaxation and recreation. The design also included both collaborative and individual study spaces for students, incorporating in desk connectivity for charging and power.

Our client’s feedback:

“Two of our core values and strategic pillars, which underpin our business strategy, are to Partner and Innovate. UPP work in long term partnership with a higher education provider, when the opportunity presented itself to work with Constellations to improve the student experience, it felt organic as we have a shared vision to enhance the way students live and learn at university.

“We found the approach and designs of Constellations to be refreshing and innovative with the students at the heart of it, the designs went through rigorous testing with the student experience team.

“The project was delivered successfully through close collaboration and working between Constellations and our UPP teams to ensure it was ready for use by arriving students. The feedback received to date from the University, site based colleagues and students has been positive and we are embarking on the next phase of external areas which we hope will be equally as successful.” – Jide Ogunniyi (UPP Asset Management Director)
