Constellations commended for work on world-class live events venue

Nottingham’s popular live and events venue, Metronome, has certainly made its mark since opening in late 2018.

The former Royal Mail sorting office, which spans over 3,500sqm, underwent a complete transformation and has quickly become one of the most talked about new events venues in the UK.

By day, it’s an incredible place to study music performance, live events and audio technology. With no compromises on equipment or technology available, the level of facilities are truly world class; students are training in the best possible environment.

By night, Metronome transforms into an immersive space, with its technology and people coming together to deliver the best live experience of its kind.

Working alongside acclaimed acoustic and technical designers, White Mark Limited, whose music clients include the likes of Damon Albarn and Abbey Road, was the team at Constellations.

In an interview with PSNEurope, White Mark’s founding director, David Bell explained how exciting it was to have the opportunity to work with a project on such a grand scale. He said:

“This is up there with our best work anywhere in the world, and this is for an education setting. You rarely get the opportunity to build something so large and comprehensive, and it has everything we know in it!”

Commenting on working with Constellations, Bell said:

“The timely creation and delivery of custom furniture, with due attention to the particular requirements of the equipment to be housed was exemplary. It’s a really close team, dedicated to getting everything exactly right and going the extra mile and we’re looking forward to working with them again on future projects.”
